CIL has floated first tender under the SHAKTI scheme to provide coal linkage to power sector through auction route.
In accordance with the notice inviting registration for Coal Linkage auction, Coal India Ltd (CIL) has requested all the interested entities to submit Expression of Interest (EoI) for Coal Linkage auction. The coal auction will be open to all Independent power producers (IPPs) that have already concluded Power purchase agreements (PPAs).
The bidders will have to submit their EoI on or before 14 August’2017, in the requisite format provided on MSTC Ltd website.
CIL has also extended the last date for registration in the auction process, thus the bidders can now register on the website up to 14 Aug’17. It may be noted that last date and time for EoI submission is the same as the last date and time for registration, i.e. on or before 2:00 pm IST on August 14, 2017.
The SHAKTI scheme was launched by Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs to bring transparency in coal allocation to power sector.
