In the fresh data released by South Korean customs it observed that country’s import for pig iron is almost firm in June 2017; which is consecutively similar from past two months.
The nation’s import for pig iron logged in Jun’17 at 30,000 MT which was 30,000 MT in May’17 & 20,000 MT in Apr’17. shows similarity since thrice of months.
Coming to total exports in the first half of CY 2017 (Jan-Jun’17), the nation has imported about 0.14 MnT pig iron; down by 33% as compared to 0.21 MnT in the same preceding year in same duration.
Country wise:
During June 2017, the largest importer of South korean Pig iron was Russia, Taiwan & China which imported about 13,700 MT, 6,000 MT & 4,700 MT respectively.
Similarly, in the total Pig iron exports during CY2017 (Jan-Jun), the major sales to the country was – Russia (40.58%), China (25.74%), India (13.41%) Taiwan (6.57%) & South Africa (5.88%).
