The medium and small re-rollers in domestic market have raised their structure offers by INR 200-800/MT (USD 3-12), W-o-W.
The prices surge majorly in Central, East & South India for the light structure (below size of 100 Angle, Channel & Beam). These regions are the largest producer in domestic market.
“Since the GST Implementation trade volumes are not as anticipated by the market participants. However, there are higher expectations that the trade volumes will gain momentum after the stockiest resume the purchase”as mentioned by re-rollers in Central India, Raipur with production about 100-200 MT/day.
Similarly, a well known producer in South India- Hyderabad stated, generally during the monsoon season structure sales are good than the trades for other finished products.
Although, in western region, Maharashtra light structure prices plunge by INR 400/MT following slump in billet prices by INR 600-800/MT, W-o-W.
