Anthracite Coal offers have not undergone changes from the rates assessed the week last, but remained steady at those rates.
The latest Anthracite Coal offers are assessed steady at around USD 130/MT CFR India. Interestingly, the stability has been observed despite the continuous downfall exhibited by the Coking Coal prices.

The Indian market continues to remain lackluster as there has been almost no affinity among the user-industries in the country to use Anthracite Coal. They, instead, prefer alternate fuels, thus eroding the demand in country.
IMPORTS
Quite understandably, there was no significant influx of Anthracite Coal imports in India due to the sluggish demand. According to the data compiled by CoalMint Research, only 84 ‘000MT of Anthracite Coal was imported into India during the 1-10May’17 period. The consignment was imported from Vietnam by Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited.
