United States is world’s largest importer of Pig Iron, it imported 4.53 MnT pig iron in CY15. USA imports Pig Iron majorly from Russia, Ukraine and Brazil.
USA pig iron import has declined by 14% M-o-M importing 425,473 MT in March’17 in comparison to 495,300 MT in Feb’17.
On the other hand, country’s pig iron imports have moved up Y-o-Y by 15% as it imported 370,113 MT pig iron in Mar’16.
Russia continues to be the largest exporter of pig iron to USA in Mar’17 and it exported 226,159 MT followed by Ukraine exporting 94,238 MT and Brazil at 94,238 MT in Mar’17.
