Brazil Iron Ore Exports Threatened

According to the latest reports Union Laborers have planned a nationwide strike that may affect port operations in Brazil. On 28th of April the strike is to begin.

The matter of concern is the two active ports Santos and Vitoria have agreed to participate in the event. Vitoria and Santos have loaded 9.38 MnT and 0.03 MnT iron ore for exports respectively in the month of Mar’17.

If the strike goes live as planned with any other ports confirming the allegiance the birth and departure of vessels, cargo clearance and operations are bound to be influenced in the coming days.
