Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel is a navratna PSE under the ministry of steel, has issued a tender for export of 10,000 MT billets and 10,000 MT bloom followed by other steel products. Bidders are required to quote for entire quantity.
Indian billet export offers are hovering at around USD 418-420/MT FOB India for 150*150mm, however no fresh trades have been reported. According to market participants, a private manufacturer was offering BF grade billet at around USD 440/MT FOB, but failed to receive any interest.
Chinese billet offers remain high and no trade activities were reported. Last offers are assessed at USD 445-450/MT FOB Chinese main port.
In the fresh tender, delivery of the material is scheduled up to 15 May’17. Bidders can keep their offer firm and valid for acceptance by RINL till 3 Apr’17.
Bidders have the option to quote for shipment either at Vizag port or Ganagavaram port.
