“Entry tax has been
hiked from 2% to 5% for MS Angle in Madhya Pradesh. This increase was proposed
by the State Government in the Union Budget for the financial year 2012-2013.
However, entry tax on
the product will be exempted if used for Industrial purposes, provided a
specific request is taken from the Sales tax authority”.
“There has not
been an official announcement for this. An official notification sometime soon
will give the final wordings,” said Managing Director of Madhyanchal Steels Pvt
Ltd, Indore.
