Japanese Tokyo Steel
has cut the scrap purchase prices again by US$ 6/MT (JPY 500/MT) from last week
at its all five plants. New prices are effective from April 20th, 2012.
Meanwhile,
Tokyo Steel has cut the scrap purchase prices for consecutive five times since
this April. The total price decreased has accumulated to US$ 30/M (JPY 2,500/MT).
After the adjustment, the average prices of HMS Scrap were at US$ 376-413/MT (JPY
30,500-33,500)
Following are the current purchase price
(plant wise) for HMS 2 (Unit: JPY/MT):
Okayama: 32,500-33,000
Kyushu: 32,500-33,000
Takamatsu: 30,500
Tahara: 33,000-33,500
Utsunomiya: 32,000
