Pellet prices across India remain unchanged from one last week.Volumes have been thin as buyers are not taking positions on fluctuating sponge iron prices.Also pellet manufacturers are reluctant to cut prices looking at scarcity of iron ore lumps in the Indian market.
BARBIL: Pellet prices are hovering in the range of 9,300-9,500/t (Loaded to Wagons) for 63% Fe content having 90+ tumbler index. Where as other medium manufacturer is offering 62+ Fe at 8,900/t (Loaded to Wagons).
Despite cheaper availability of fines, pellet manufacturers are reluctant to cut prices over scarcity of lumps in domestic market.
RAIPUR: Prices are offered in the range of Rs 10,400/t and demand is decent from big sponge manufacturers like Monnet, Top Worth, reported market sources.
BELLARY: Pellet prices move up slightly on scarcity of iron ore and rising sponge prices. Prices are offered in the range of Rs 8,400-8,500/t (Ex-Work).
IMPORTED PRICES: First ever import of Brazilian Pellets on Indian east coast by Bhushan Steel.Prices are reported to be offered in the range of $130/t (FOB Russia) for 63% Fe , where as pellet prices in Brazil have fallen down drastically to $125/t (FOB Brazil) for 63% Fe.
