MMTC, one of the India’s leading Pig iron producer and exporter, has recently closed an export tender for 30,000 MT Pig iron on 10 Feb’17.The company has managed to attract 2 participants according to sources.
MMTC has floated this tender on 30 Jan’17 for 30,000 MT Pig iron with scheduled technical bids closed on 10 Feb’17 and the delivery of the shipment is scheduled till 10 Mar’17.
According to market sources, the company has received bids at level of USD 290/MT, FOB India.However, it is yet to be confirmed.
Another major Pig iron export tender for 20,000 MT Pig iron by Vizag Steel which closed on 19 Jan’17 got cancelled as the bidders did not perform well. However, the tender got concluded at USD 298/MT, FoB Vizag Port but tender awardees failed to submit the bank guarantee (BG) on time. Now, the company is planning to re-issue the tender later this week.
