SCCL coal production has declined by 1% M-o-M after achieving highest coal production in Dec’16.
The Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) is a Government coal mining company jointly owned by Government of Telangana and Govt of India with a proven geological reserve aggregating to 8791 MnT.
Coal production from SCCL has declined by 1% to 5.88 MnT in Jan’17 compared with 5.95 MnT in Dec’16.Production is down by 1.39% during Apr’16-Jan’17 to 48.29 MnT compared with 48.29 MnT during Apr’15-Jan’16.
However, Coal production has increased by 3% Y-o-Y in Jan’17 compared with 5.73 MnT in Jan’16.
SCCL Coal Dispatches:
Coal dispatch from SCCL in Jan’17 has increased by 14% Y-o-Y to 5.97 MnT compared with 5.24 MnT in Jan’16. However, Coal dispatch has minutely fallen from 5.98 MnT in Dec’16 to 5.97 MnT in Jan’17 on monthly basis.

SCCL has achieved its set target of Coal production and dispatches during Apr’16-Jan’17.

Quantities in MnT
The company has produced 48.29 MnT coal during the period against the set target of 47.24 MnT. Also, the dispatch target was achieved by sales of 48.67 MnT coal during Apr’16-Jan’17.
SCCL yearly coal production was 60.38 MnT in FY16 and is aiming to raise annual coal production target to 90 MnT by FY21.
