In an international round-up, the Ukrainian government is heard to plan for switching all thermal power plants of the public joint-stock company, Centrenero, that are running on Anthracite Coal to gas. This implies that demand for the coal will shrink in that country in the future.

Amid the dull scenario, few shipments of Anthracite Coal imports have landed at Indian ports. During the 1-18 Jan’17 period, a meager quantity of 25,340 MT was imported into the country, according to data compiled by CoalMint Research.
