Over Capacity Again Hinders Bulk Shipping Freight Rate Movement

The bulk shipping freight rates have not shown notable movements after the festival season.

Market participants have attributed the stagnancy in the freight rates to the over-capacity of vessels that was growing up vis-à-vis demand. However, Capesize rates have shown slight improvements with the beginning of this year.

The rates are not expected to go up in the next week, according to speculation of market participants.
