Standalone Pellet Plants Iron Ore Sourcing; Stable in Dec’16

Standalone pellet plants’ iron ore sourcing remained stable falling a minor percentile of 0.65 when compared monthly and stood at 0.689 MnT in Dec’16 compared to 0.694 MnT in Nov’16

KIOCL’s iron ore sourcing up by 47% in Dec’16 – KIOCL sourced 0.28 MnT iron ore from NMDC (C.G.) in Dec’16 against 0.19 MnT in Nov’16. It sourced 72 rakes in Dec’16 compared to 49 rakes in Nov’16. It exported 0.17 MnT pellets in Dec’16 compared to 0.12 MnT in Nov’16.

BRPL’s iron ore sourcing down by 36% in Dec’16 – BRPL reduced its iron ore sourcing by 36% M-o-M from 0.25 MnT in Nov’16 to 0.16 MnT in Dec’16. Manufacturer’s sourcing from MESCO increased last month while sourcing from KN Ram and KJS Ahluwalia declined but was increased from Rungta Mines in Dec’16. Company’s exports came down to 0.16 MnT in Dec’16.

Arya Iron & Steel raises iron ore sourcing marginal by 4% M-o-M – Barbil based pellet maker – Arya iron & steel sourced 0.1 MnT iron ore in Dec’16. The pellet manufacturer majorly procured iron ore from Rungta Mines, MESCO and Kaypee Enterprises.

OMM Adhunik reduced its iron ore sourcing considerably in Dec’16 – Jamshedpur based pellet maker – OMM Adhunik iron ore sourcing moved down to the tune of 0.08 MnT in Dec’16 less 37% M-o-M from 0.12 MnT in Nov’16. Much of the ore sourced was from Kaypee Enterprises followed by Rungta Mines and Indrani Patnaik.
