Met Coke imports into India went down by around 17.9% in Dec’16 as compared with that in Nov’16, according to data compiled by CoalMint Research.
In Dec’16, around 0.32 MnT of Met Coke had landed at Indian ports. In the previous month, around 0.39 MnT had entered into the country.

In year-on-year comparison, imports in Dec’16 were marginally lower by around 3.03% than that at around 0.33 MnT in Dec’15.
An orgin-wise analysis of the import data for Dec’16 shows that imports from China constituted the largest share in the total import volume during the month under review.

Among the various ports in the country, the Mangalore port had handled the highest volume of import traffic during the month, followed by the Haldia and Mormugau ports.
