Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has floated a global tender for export of prime mild steel hot rolled plates of 3,000-6,000 MT quantity.
The material will be of EN10025 S355 grade or equivalent with size ranging between 15-30 mm. Export duty as applicable in sellers country shall be borne by the seller and other duties payable shall be borne by buyer. Bids for the same will open on 11 Jan’17.
Prices should be quoted on FoB, Vizag basis for March shipment. However, prices are to be quoted per MT basis for all the markets other than Nepal, Canada and Taiwan.
SAIL cancels its 20,000 MT last export tender expired on 29 Nov’16
Earlier, the company had floated its global export tender for 20,000 MT prime mild steel hot rolled plates with scheduled technical bids to close on 06 Dec’16.
As per market sources, SAIL have canceled its plates export tender on account of low bids received from the participants. The company’s expectations were around USD 460-465/MT FoB India.
