- Procurement activity remained limited to immediate requirements
- Seasonal demand weakness likely to keep prices under pressure
ERW patra pipe prices (41-60 mm OD) declined w-o-w across key regions in the week ended 10 July 2026, as subdued buying activity amid the seasonal slowdown continued to weigh on prices, while lower raw material costs further pressured finished pipe prices.
However, on a d-o-d basis, prices showed mixed trends across regions. In Raipur, ERW patra pipe prices remained stable at around INR 44,400/t on 10 July. In contrast, prices in Mandi Gobindgarh edged down by INR 100/t d-o-d to INR 46,500/t exw on 10 July from INR 46,600/t exw a day earlier. Listed prices are exw and exclude 18% GST.
Weekly price trends
Raipur: ERW patra pipe prices in Raipur declined by INR 700/t w-o-w to INR 44,400/t exw on 10 July from INR 45,100/t a week earlier.
A Raipur-based manufacturer indicated, “Persistent rainfall continued to weigh on overall market activity, keeping demand subdued throughout the week. Enquiries remained limited as buyers largely refrained from placing fresh orders, with procurement restricted to immediate requirements.”
Mandi Gobindgarh: ERW patra pipe prices in Mandi Gobindgarh fell by INR 1,000/t w-o-w to INR 46,500/t exw on 10 July from INR 47,500/t a week earlier.
A Mandi-based manufacturer noted, “The onset of the rainy season has dampened market activity, with trading expected to remain weak in the coming weeks. Although the shortage of readily available pipes in certain sizes has not yet been fully resolved, the resulting supply tightness has not been sufficient to offset weak demand, keeping prices under downward pressure.”
Raw material prices
HR strip (patra): HR Strip (patra) prices in Raipur dropped by INR 900/t w-o-w to INR 43,600/t on 10 July from INR 44,500/t exw on 3 July. Similarly, patra prices in Mandi Gobindgarh fell by INR 1,000/t w-o-w to INR 45,500/t on 10 July compared with INR 46,500/t exw a week earlier.

Outlook
ERW patra pipe prices are expected to remain under pressure in the coming week, as the rainfall-related seasonal slowdown continues to dampen buying interest across key markets. Market participants are likely to maintain a cautious procurement approach, limiting purchases to immediate requirements in the absence of any meaningful improvement in demand. Meanwhile, softer raw material prices may exert additional downward pressure on finished pipe prices.
