Jharkhand Govt Allots Jitpur Coal Block to JSPL

Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) will now be able to resume operation of its stalled 1,600 MW power plant at the Godda district in Jharkhand.

The state government has decided to allot the Jitpur Coal Block to JSPL for restarting the plant, which was shut-down after the central government cancelling permission to use coal blocks by the company.

Coal blocks in the Godda district are owned by the Jharkhand Mineral Development Corporation.
