USA, the world’s largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.18 MnT Pig iron in Oct’16 according to trade statistics released by USA customs.
USA Pig iron imports have registered a downfall of 57% M-o-M in Oct’16 against 0.42 MnT in Sept’16. On similar lines, imports were down by 73% Y-o-Y against 0.66 MnT in Oct’15.
In the first 10 months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 3.44 MnT, down by 14% as compared to 3.99 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Russia, Ukraine, Brazil etc. In Oct’16, imports from Russia was registered at 0.13 MnT, from Ukraine it was 0.05 MnT. Imports from Brazil remained nil.
