Russia, the world’s largest Pig iron exporter has exported 0.48 MnT Pig iron in Oct’16 according to Russian customs data.
Russian Pig iron exports have registered a growth of 26% M-o-M in Oct’16 against 0.38 MnT in the month of Sept’16. On similar lines, exports grew by 66% on Y-o-Y basis against 0.29 MnT in Oct’15.
In the first 10 months of 2016, the country exported 4.25 MnT Pig iron, up by 3.4% as compared to 4.11 MnT in the same period prior this year. 
Country’s Pig iron exports are majorly directed towards the USA followed by Italy, Taiwan etc. In Oct’16, exports to USA was recorded at 0.27 MnT, Italy 0.06 MnT, Taiwan 0.02 MnT etc.
