According to preliminary custom data, Brazilian slab exports declined significantly by 30%,M-o-M basis to 0.32 MnT in Nov’16 against Oct’16.The same stood at 0.46 MnT in Oct’16.
If Y-o-Y comparison is done, then the nation’s slab exports registered the downfall of 39% in Nov’16 against the corresponding month of the previous year. In Nov’15 country’s slab export was recorded at 0.52 MnT.
During the period of Jan-Nov’16 Brazilian exported 5.33 MnT,slab down by 7% against corresponding time frame of previous year.
Meanwhile, United Nations exported 0.13 MnT of slabs, followed by Thailand at 0.09 MnT and Indonesia at 0.08 MnT in the month of Nov’16.
Slab Export Offers:
Slab export offers from Latin America are assessed in the range of USD 410-415/MT and export offers from South East Asian Countries are in the range of USD 420-430/MT,CFR basis.
However, slab export offers from Brazil are hovering in the range of USD 410/MT on FoB basis.
