Brazilian Country-wise Iron Ore Export in Nov’16

Recent trade statistics released by Brazilian Customs shows that Brazil has exported around 31.4 MnT iron ore in the month of Nov’16. However comparing on yearly premises, the figure has gone up by 12% Y-o-Y as it was recorded at 28 MnT in Nov’15.

During first 11 months of 2016, Brazil exported 338.67 MnT iron ore, up by 4% Y-o-Y. In the same period last year, Brazilian iron ore export was recorded at 327.2 MnT.

The average export price for Brazilian iron ore in Nov’16 was around USD 39.2/MT, FoB Brazil, up by USD 2.2/MT from Oct’16 as it was USD 37/MT, FoB Brazil. However, on Y-o-Y basis, average export prices rose by USD 7/MT against USD 32.2/MT, FoB Brazil in Nov’15. 

Country-wise iron ore exports in Nov’16

According to data provided by Inchcape Shipping Services, Brazil, – the country exported 30.1 MnT iron ore via sea route. Vale, the world’s largest iron ore producer exports around 88% of iron ore via sea route. In Nov’16, the miners exported 26.41 MnT iron ore via sea route, CSN – 1.97 MnT, Anglo American – 1.14 MnT and Trafigura – 0.51 MnT.
