Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 25 May’26. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 34,200/t ($359/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished and finished steel prices fell by INR 100-400/t in the region due to moderate trade activities in the previous trading session. Meanwhile, average trade activity in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
