Karnataka will see auctions of around 68,000-t iron ore and pellets this week.
- Vedanta: Vedanta Iron & Steel Ltd has scheduled an auction for 12,000 t of iron ore from its mines in Bheemasamudra, Karnataka on 21 May. The material comprises of 2,000-t (6-20 mm, Fe 46.5-49.75%) and 4,000-t (10-40 mm, Fe 47.75%) of silicious lumps and another 8,000 t of Hematite lumps (6-20 mm, Fe 52.75%).
- NMDC Donimalai: The company has scheduled an auction for 48,000 t (10-40 mm, Fe 52-54%) iron ore lumps on 20 May. Floor prices are yet to be declared and will be exclusive of royalty, DMF and NMEDT. Meanwhile another auction for 10,000 t of iron ore pellets (6-16 mm, Fe: 62%, SiO2: 3.50 – 4.50%, Al2O3: 4.00 – 4.50%) from its Donimalai pellet plant has been set on 20 May’26. Prices are not yet declared, and will be on FOT basis.
