Glencore reported its ferro chrome production at 13,000 t in Q1CY”26, down sharply by 95% y-o-y from 277,000 t in Q1CY”25, primarily due to chrome smelting operations remaining under maintenance for most of the quarter, with a phased restart underway at the Lion smelter. Meanwhile, chrome ore production rose marginally by 3% y-o-y to 830,000 t, reflecting steady mining operations despite weak smelting activity.
