BigMint’s billet index in Raipur declined by INR 200/t day-on-day to INR 41,750/t ex-works. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 15,950/t.
Domestic sponge iron prices declined by INR 100-700/t across regions. The recorded trade volume today stood at around 7,900 t compared to approximately 7,600 t in the previous session.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, declined by INR 400/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 38,900/t DAP.
