South African coal prices fall w-o-w on weak demand, ceasefire pressures sentiment

South African thermal coal prices at Indian ports declined w-o-w amid weak enquiries and subdued buying. Ex-Paradip RB2 (5,500 NAR) fell by INR 350/t to INR 11,200/t, while RB3 (4,800 NAR) dropped by INR 200/t to INR 10,200/t. Buyers continued preferring domestic coal due to better availability and pricing. Sentiment weakened after the US-Iran ceasefire announcement, with traders expecting additional downside in prices.
