Global crude steel production dropped 2.2% y-o-y in Feb’26

Global crude steel production declined by 2.2% y-o-y to 141.8 mnt in Feb’26, according to the World Steel Association (WSA). Crude steel output fell by 3.7% m-o-m from 147.8 mnt in Jan’26.

• China’s production dropped by 3.6% y-o-y to 76.1 mnt.
• India’s production increased by 7.7% y-o-y to 13.6 mnt.
• United State’s production increased by 5.8% y-o-y to 6.5 mnt.
