Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel is a navratna PSE under the ministry of steel has invited a global tender for purchase of 150,000 MT low ash metallurgical coke in Visakhapatnam, India.
The company intends to purchase the material in the parcel sizes of 30,000 MT for foreign suppliers and in rake loads in case of indigenous suppliers.
The delivery of the material should be completed by Mar/Apr’17. Successful bidders needs to commence the delivery within 7-10 days from the date of placement of order. Indigenous supplier shall supply up to 60,000 MT material every month and foreign suppliers shall supply 2 shipments of 30,000 MT each every month as per buyer’s requirement. Every bidders needs to offer minimum 30,000 MT material.
The offer of bidders shall be valid for the period of 120 days from the date of tender opening.

Current Met Coke Scenario
Met Coke import offers have exhibited an upward trend, primarily due to the impact of rising coking coal prices. Of late, import offers of the 64% CSR met coke were assessed at USD 305.50/MT CFR India; and import offers of the 62% CSR variant were assessed at USD 301.50/MT CFR India.
