Odisha Merchant Mines’ Iron Ore Dispatches Up by 20% in Oct’16

Iron ore dispatches by Odisha based merchant mines increased last month and was recorded at 6.11 MnT against 5.08 MnT in Sept’16.

Among Odisha’s merchant iron ore miners – Rungta Mines dispatched highest quantity of ore followed by Serajuddin Mines and KJS Ahluwalia.

Rungta Mines’ iron ore dispatches moved up by 31% M-o-M to 1.71 MnT in Oct’16. JSW Steel, Bhushan Power & Steel and JSPL remained the largest takers of iron ore from Rungta Mines last month.

Serajuddin Mines dispatched 0.9 MnT iron ore in Oct’16 compared to 0.88 MnT in Sept’16. Steel makers which procured major quantity of ore from Serajuddin Mines in Oct’16 were – Essar Steels, Bhushan Power & Steel and JSPL.

Iron ore dispatches of KJS Ahluwalia stood at 0.8 MnT in Oct’16, up by 43% M-o-M. Major iron ore buyers from it were – Brahmani River Pellets (BRPL), Essar Steels and JSPL.

Iron ore dispatches of state owned miner – OMC remained stable on monthly premises and was recorded at 0.32 MnT in Oct’16.
