India: Cargo shipments from key ports rise 8% y-o-y in Apr’25-Feb’26 on strong trade activity

Cargo shipments from key Indian ports rose 7.7% y-o-y to 830.7 mnt in Apr’25-Feb’26, driven by higher vessel movements, stronger container traffic, and improved industrial and trade activity.

• Paradip’s shipments increased 4% y-o-y to 142.3 mnt from 136.2 mnt.
• Deendayal’s shipments increased 8% y-o-y to 144.1 mnt from 133.8 mnt.
• JNPT’s shipments rose 11% y-o-y to 92.8 mnt from 83.8 mnt.
• Vizag’s shipments were up 11% y-o-y at 82 mnt from 73.7 mnt.
