Indian steel prices continued to increase in February 2026 (as per monthly averages), but the pace of growth slowed sharply compared to January. Where January had recorded percentage increases in the range of 9-14% m-o-m across semi-finished and finished steel, in February, the growth was limited to a modest 1-3%, except for rebars produced through the blast furnace (BF) route, whose prices surged by 8% m-o-m.
