BigMint’s billet index increased by INR 950/t day-on-day to INR 42,200/t exw-Raipur and trade volume estimated around 7,000 t. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 14,550/t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, increased by INR 400/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 37,600/t DAP.
