BigMint’s daily trade sheet – 23 Feb’26

BigMint’s billet index declined by INR 250/t day-on-day to INR 40,500/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at around INR 13,600/t.

Indian sponge iron prices showed a mixed trend.  Prices declined by INR 100-300/t in the central and eastern regions, while the southern market registered an increase of around INR 100-200/t.

BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, decreased by INR 300/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 37,100/t DAP.
