Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) will conduct a chrome ore auction of 114,600 t on 19 Feb ’26, marking a 6,200 t increase m-o-m. Base prices climbed, with grades above 40% up by 13% (INR 2,598 – 3,340/t) m-o-m and below 40% grade rising by 10% (INR 997/t). The rise is likely due to a surge in ferro chrome prices of INR 14,500/t ($158/t) m-o-m in February amid tight spot material availability.
