Indian rebar manufacturers has continued to reduced offers since the starting of the current month. Prices were fallen in the range of INR 1,500-2,000/MT on account weak sales in the finished steel market.
At present, rebar producers are offering 12 mm material in the range of INR 23,200-23,500/MT in ex-Raipur, INR 24,500/MT in ex- Hyderabad, INR 25,700-26,000/MT in ex-Mumbai. INR 23,500/MT in Durgapur. All prices are basic.
Rebar price gap between Central and North India is also widened by about INR 4,000/MT led to better viability from Raipur/Raigarh to all over North India.
Currently, rebar manufacturers in Raipur are hovering in the range of INR 23,200-23,500/MT (basic price, excise duty & other taxes extra) for 12mm while manufacturers based in Ghaziabad/ Bhiwadi are offering the same size material at INR 27,000-27,500/MT for Delhi region.
A wellknown rebar manufacturer based in Central India stated, “rebar prices seems to be running at lower level and good demand is coming at current offers. We are expecting market to be improve post Diwali”.
