India: Cargo shipments from key ports rise y-o-y in Apr’25-Jan’26 on strong trade growth

Cargo shipments from key Indian ports rose 8.15% y-o-y to 755.84 mnt in Apr’25-Jan’26, supported by higher coal, petroleum, and container volumes amid steady domestic manufacturing and trade growth.

• Paradip’s shipments increased 4.9% y-o-y to 129.71 mnt from 123.65 mnt in the CPLY.
• JNPT’s shipments were up 10.76% y-o-y to 84.49 mnt from 76.29 mnt.
• Vizag’s shipments rose 10.08% y-o-y to 74.34 mnt from 67.53 mnt.
• Deendayal’s shipment surged 7.74% y-o-y to 131.25 mnt from 121.82 mnt.
