Russia, the world’s largest Pig iron exporter has exported 0.50 MnT Pig iron in Aug’16 according to Russian customs data.
Russian Pig iron exports have registered a growth of 117% M-o-M in Aug’16 against 0.23 MnT in the month of Jul’16. On similar lines, exports grew by 34% on Y-o-Y basis against 0.37 MnT in Aug’15.
In the first eight months of 2016, the country exported 3.39 MnT Pig iron, up by 3.3% as compared to the same period prior this year.
Country’s Pig iron exports are majorly directed towards the USA followed by, Italy, Spain, and Taiwan. In Aug’16, exports to USA was recorded at 0.33 MnT, Italy 0.02 MnT, Taiwan 0.07 MnT etc.
