Russia, the 8th largest iron ore exporter has exported around 1.50 MnT iron ore in Jul’16, according to the trade statistics released by Russian Customs.
Iron ore exports have witnessed a growth of 6% M-o-M as it was 1.41 MnT in Jul’16. On the contrary, Russian iron ore export has decreased significantly by 27.1% on Y-o-Y basis.
In the first eight months of 2016, the country exported 11.8 MnT iron ore, down by 36.5% as it was 18.6 MnT in the same consecutive period last year.
In Sept’16, the agglomerated iron ore (pellets and concentrate) exports were recorded at 0.82 MnT, up by 110% M-o-M and down by 21.1% Y-o-Y. The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps & fines) exports were registered at 0.68 MnT, down by 33.3% M-o-M as well as Y-o-Y both.
