Trade statistics released by the European Union shows that Sweden, the 6th largest iron ore exporter has exported 1.88 MnT iron ore in Jul’16.
Country’s exports rose by 5.5% M-o-M as compared to 1.79 MnT in Jun’16. However, on Y-o-Y basis, iron ore exports drop down by 8.2% as compared to 2.05 MnT in Jul’15.
In the first seven months of 2016, the country exported 12.88 MnT iron ore, up by 13.7% as it was 11.31 MnT in the same period last year.
The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps and fines) exports in Jul’16 was registered at 0.35 MnT, decreased by 2.7% over the previous month as it was 0.36 MnT in Jun’16. The country exported 0.32 MnT non-agglomerated ore in Jul’15.
The agglomerated iron ore (pellets and concentrates) exports in Jul’16 were registered at 1.53 MnT, up by 7% M-o-M. However, on Y-o-Y basis, the country’s agglomerated exports significantly dropped down by 11.5% as it was 1.73 MnT in Jul’15.
