Global stainless steel meltshop production rises over 2% y-o-y in Q3CY’25

Global stainless steel meltshop production rose by 2.3% y-o-y to 16.06 mnt in Q3CY’25, according to the World Stainless Association. China remained the leading producer at 10.28 mnt, a 4% increase y-o-y, while Europe’s volumes fell slightly by 11%. The US recorded a 12% y-o-y increase at 0.53 mnt. Asia (excluding China and South Korea) saw a 4% increase at 3.70 mnt against the same period last year.
