USA, the world’s largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.41 MnT Pig iron in Jul’16 according to trade statistics released by USA customs.
USA Pig iron imports have registered a growth of 52% M-o-M in Jul’16 against 0.22 MnT in Jun’16. On similar lines, imports were up by 24.2% Y-o-Y against 0.33 MnT in Jul’15.
In the first seven months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 2.09 MnT, down by 9% as compared to 2.3 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from to Russia, Ukraine, Brazil etc. In Jul’16, imports from Russia was registered at 0.26 MnT, from Ukraine it was 0.08 MnT and from Brazil imports were registered at 0.07 MnT.
