India: Portside South African thermal coal prices rise w-o-w amid tight supply, higher freights

South African RB2 (5500 NAR) thermal coal prices at Indian ports rose by INR 100-200/t w-o-w, with Paradip at INR 8,300/t, Vizag at INR 8,350/t, and Gangavaram at INR 8,400/t.
The uptrend was driven by higher forward freights and lower inventories at Indian ports. Prices also gained as Chinese demand rose.
