Australia: Coal shipments from Port Hay Point drop 8% m-o-m in Oct’25

Australia’s Port Hay Point recorded coal shipments of 2.90 mnt in Oct’25, down by 7.9% from 3.15 mnt in Sep’25, as per an official press release.
However, shipments rose by 7% against 2.71 mnt in the year-ago period.
The m-o-m decline was driven by subdued global demand, minor logistical constraints, and reduced activity during the festive holidays in India.
