Baltic Dry Index hits over 3-week low as vessel rates continue to weaken

The Baltic Exchange’s dry bulk index dropped by 21 points to 1,945 on 3 Nov’25 against 31 Oct, hitting a three-week low. The index declined due to reduced activity and softening rates in the Capesize and Panamax segments, driven by easing demand for iron ore and coal shipments.

  • Capesize: The BCI declined 41 points to 2,888.
  • Panamax: The BPI decreased by 20 points to 1,801.
  • Supramax: The BSI fell 6 points to 1,320.
