Pakistan’s non-coking coal imports witnessed a sharp decline of 26.8% m-o-m to 0.55 mnt in Oct’25 from 0.76 mnt in Sep’25, primarily due to subdued demand from the cement and power sectors amid lower industrial activity. Additionally, imports dropped significantly by 39.9% y-o-y from 0.92 mnt in Oct’24. South Africa remained the top supplier with 0.27 mnt, with volumes dropping 17.1% m-o-m, followed by Indonesia, which shipped 0.17 mnt.
