After a long delay, there is something to cheer for Karnataka mineral block auctions.
Opening of technical bids for all the 14 ”C” category iron ore mines was scheduled today (i.e. on 15 Sept’16) at 11: 30 am.
“Karnataka iron ore block auction has received good response”, shared a source from Karnataka DMG. However, he did not disclose the number of bidders who participated in the same.
The announcement of technically qualified bidders is scheduled on 22 Sept’16.
Department of Mines & Geology had notified auction of iron ore mines located in the state of Karnataka back in Dec’15. However, the auction was postponed owing to various issues like higher stamp duty charges etc.
The 14 mine blocks are located primarily in Bellary & Chitradurga districts of Karnataka.
