US: RMDAS ferrous scrap index slips in Oct’25

In Oct’25, the RMDAS ferrous scrap index, reflecting spot prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, recorded declines across all grades.

The index recorded the following price adjustments compared to 21 Sep:

• Shredded scrap prices fell to $370/t, dropping by $11/t m-o-m.
• Prompt industrial composite scrap prices fell by $24/t to $401/t.
• HMS prices fell to $336/t inching down by $1/t.
