JSPL sales and production impacted owing to temporary shutdowns in Angul and Raigarh units during Q1 FY17.
JSPL’s long awaited new rebar mill with a capacity of 1.4 MnT pa in Angul (Odisha), is all set to begin its commercial production as per the recent press released by the company.
The company also reported Q1 FY17 operational and financial performance and its sales and production impacted owing to plants shutdown in both Angul and Raigarh units for repair & maintenance.
Operational performance
On standalone basis, JSPL reported a decrease of 13% to 0.84 MnT in steel production during Q1 FY17 as compared to the previous quarter.
In line, sales volumes also fell by 22% in the same respective period.
Similarly, on a consolidated basis, steel production decreased from 10% to 1.19 MnT during Q1 FY17 against Q4 FY16. Meanwhile, sales volume also fell by 21% to 1.11 MnT in the same respective period.
